The Filter Factory Inc began as a manufacturer of string-wound filter cartridges in October 1988 in Yuma, AZ. The attraction to Arizona came from a readily available labor force, location on an interstate highway serviced by major truck lines and most importantly a significant market on the west coast.
A second line of filter products, micron-rated filter bags, was added in 1991 and has proven to be a successful complement to the cartridge line. The business was incorporated in the State of Arizona in 1994.
In 1999, The Filter Factory Inc moved into a 50,000 square foot manufacturing facility, expanding the facility by five times. The extra room helped to facilitate the development of two new filter lines, activated carbon cartridges, and pleated paper cartridges. With the new lines complementing the current products, expanding the ability to produce over 250,000 different configurations of filter cartridges and 3,000 different configurations of filter bags, The Filter Factory Inc can offer more “one-stop shopping” to its distributors.
